Winter 2023/24: Head to Heart
Our winter workshop in December 2023 - January 2024 was an opportunity for both staff and participants to be reminded that knowledge alone will not save the world - it is the heart that needs to feel the desire to help those in need, care for those around us, act according to what we know is good, speak the truth and the kind words, and embody the image of God. It was a workshop strongly focusing on experience based on the knowledge we have gained in the past years. We prayed for each other, we washed each others’ feet, cried on each others’ shoulders as we experienced love, acceptance and grace. There’s much to do in our lives and we all have our personal commitments to make 2024 the best year so far - habits to change, addictions to get rid of, fears to overcome, and start new practices, build better relationships, and trust in God more.
As always, our workshop had mini mottos for every day: More Than Words, Our Journey, Letting Go, and It’s a New Day.
We couldn’t have done this without our sponsors. The 50+ people present at the workshop were financially supported by the FFWPU EUME HQ and the 20 people donating through GoFundMe. This common effort has helped us keep our fees low and welcome people from all backgrounds. Thank you again for your generous donations!
